It’s a brand new, curated festival celebrating independent genre film. Join us for 15 hours of original features and shorts!

When and where is it?

October 3rd-4th, 2025. Festivities kick off at 7pm on the 3rd and run until 12am on the 4th.

The festival will be held at the AMC Rosedale 14 in Roseville, MN.

What’s a ‘genre’ film?

Anything strange, thrilling, fantastical, magical or horrifying. Horror, sci-fi, fantasy, musical, animation—anything that’s weirder than a straight rom-com or drama.

What’s a curated festival?

We put together the programming by reviewing over 100 entries from around the world to find the ones we think you’ll love the best.

How do I get tickets?

Grab a pass from the passes page. The Exposition Pass covers the whole festival, the Features Pass covers all 6 features, and the 5-pack covers five films of your choosing. On September 15th, you’ll be able to reserve your seats in the theater for each showing.

If you’re not into commitment, you can buy individual tickets for $15 per showing, starting the 16th. If there are tickets left.

Who are you guys?

We’re the purveyors of the Horror Show Hot Dog podcast and the Horror Show Hot Dog Short Film Festival, which ran from 2015-2019 with the Twin Cities Horror Festival.
